The History of CantFitMyN
CantFitMyN was founded in Hitchin in 2002 by a group of friends. The name stems from Noctu being unable to fit the clan tag that he wanted into the limited box provided, and so in a show of defiance the name became CantFitMyN.
The clan meandered on for several years, never really being anything meaningful other than a placeholder clan name for the seating plan at Multiplay's i-event LAN gathering, and occasionally, failed entries into their tournaments.
With a firm base for the clan, numbers steadily increased. The majority of clan members have a common denominator of being brought together though the immensely popular web based game Planetarion. Most of our members have met at various points previously based on the friendships spawned around the game.
Over the years the tag has been associated with many games including Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 and more recently Team Fortress 2. Members also enjoy DefCon, OpenTTD, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Civilisation IV and GRID.
In Easter 2008 the clan became more organised with the commissioning of a website expertly produced by Yeggstry, and the opening of a clan IRC channel on NetGamers.
A recent analysis of clan performance came to the conclusion that winning opponents consistently had official clan t-shirts. Therefore in order to improve the clan's chances CantFitMyN designed and obtained shirts of their own. It has yet to be proven whether this will be a successful strategy.
At time of writing, the clan has not won a match in a tournament except for reasons of default and can often be found at the nearest bar.
